Karim el Asmar worked for several years in the hotel industry with Intercontinental Hotel Group in France, Africa and Lebanon, and Kingdom Group in Lebanon. He handled various operation, executive management and administration positions in the Food & Beverage production and service, guest services, accounting and finance. He has been involved in operation set-up, internal controls and implementation strategies.

As coordinator of the curriculum at St Joseph University in Beirut, he worked on updating the hotel management program; he currently sits at the Board of the hotel management program and lectures in the Institute.
